Congratulations team, we have completed the 3 days walking of the Rakiura Track.
The van is there to pick us up. We head back to South Seas for the night - hot showers, washing, restaurant food, more cards and warm beds. And then all except Bill and Anna (Bill for his eyes, and Anna because she has flu symptoms) head to the airstrip with Beaks and Feathers to look for kiwis. We see four. Here is this quirky, incredible bird I captured on video. This one was 14 months old Olly our guide thought.
Another Kiwi maybe sniffing us out. They have a terrific sense of smell.

We were scheduled to be out for an hour and a half. It was so cold and we had seen four kiwi, so we said an hour was enough. Back to a comfortable bed for the night.
